MCLEAN, Va., July 28 (UPI) -- Science Applications International Corp. has a new task order to support the Joint Electronic Warfare Center in Nevada.

The contract, from the 55th Contracting Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and granted under the authority of the U.S. Strategic Command, features an 11-month base performance period and three 1-year renewal options.

Under the Systems and Mission Support II contract, SAIC will provide mission support to the Joint Electronic Warfare Center-Nevada, which plans, integrates and synchronizes information operations in direct support of Joint Force commanders and serves as the STRATCOM lead for enhancing information operations across the U.S. Department of Defense.

Support services will include operational procedure development; service components and combatant command collaboration; plan management; test plan integration; test material development; and mission requirement articulation, SAIC said.

"We look forward to continuing our support under the USAMS II contract by providing quality test and evaluation services to help meet critical mission objectives in the electronic warfare arena," said Chuck Zang, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.

The contract, if all options are exercised, is worth $14 million.

Work will be performed primarily at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
